Review: We were sent this balloon flower display to review before we went on holiday, and they are great fun! Although I knew that a balloon sculpture was on it’s way, I had no idea what design we were going to be getting. It was very exciting opening the box and unwrapping my surprise!

A small “balloon baboon” accompanied the flowers, holding the gift message under his chin. Georgie thought it was fabulous fun, and I must admit I did too – a very nice touch which reinforces the brand nicely.

The flower display was so well made and I thought it was incredibly clever. The different colours worked really well together and the water filled base was a perfect innovation to keep it upright.

With a price of £17.95 and shipping cost of £3.95 I think it’s a very comparable price to getting a delivery of cut flowers sent to someone, and much more original. These would make great flowers for someone who has hay fever too, a great alternative to pollen-filled flowers that would send their eyes streaming!

I love the various different designs on the Balloon Baboon website, they have some great gifts for all sorts of occasions.

4 days later, this is how the flower display looked:

As you can see, the balloons lasted very well (especially as Georgie kept taking them off the windowsill and wandering around with them!). The flower display lasted about as long as cut flowers do under my care, so I would consider them on par in terms of longevity.

We give this clever gift 5 stars – perfect if you want something a little bit different for a friend or relatives birthday!

I am currently running a giveaway for one of these flower displays on my blog, so please do make sure you enter. This giveaway ends midnight 02/11/13.
